Registration and Payment FAQ

*ATTENTION*

If you previously registered with the False Alarm Reduction Program and had an online account, please wait until you receive your annual renewal notice to register with the new site.

If you have already renewed, please do not sign up online until next renewal period. The online registration must have a payment to complete the registration process and it would result in a double payment on your account.

On February 11, 2020, the City of Owasso False Alarm Reduction Program began to utilize EnablePoint False Alarm software.

I live in the county, but I have an Owasso Address, do I have to register?

The only people who are required to register their alarm with Owasso are those alarm users who live within the corporate city limits of Owasso. Many people who have a postal address of "Owasso" are not in the city limits. If you are unsure if you live in the city limits of Owasso, you can always call Owasso City Hall, Owasso Police Department, or check our GIS map.

I have an audible alarm that isn’t monitored, do I still have to register?

If your alarm system simply sounds a siren or other audible alert, it is not monitored by an alarm company and does not notify anyone to call the police department for a response, you do NOT have to register your system. However, the city requires that you limit the duration of your audible alarm to no longer than 10 minutes.

Registering your alarm online:

If you are not currently registered with the False Alarm Reduction Program, please visit the Online Alarm Registration Site. Your registration and payment will be sent to the Alarm Registration Specialist to be processed.

If your corporation requires you to pay by check, please complete the registration form online and click the ‘SAVE’ button. Email alarm@cityofowasso.com or call 918-376-1555 for processing. Please ensure you have the email address that was used to register the alarm and the alarm location address.

OH NO! What if I missed the deadline to register?

Registration begins on October 1, 2017, however, we won’t start enforcing the false alarm fees and failure to register fees until December 1, 2017. Even then, we won’t come to your house unless your alarm goes off. You can register at any time and that registration is good for one year from the date of registration. Just remember, if you have a false alarm and you aren’t registered, you will be subject to a failure to register fee.

Renewals:

When you receive an annual renewal notice, please visit the Online Alarm Registration Site and register your alarm for the new registration year. The payment will be sent over and processed. You will be able to renew online by simply signing in at the next renewal period.

Otherwise, please complete a registration form and return it Owasso City Hall along with the renewal payment.
