Mission Statement

The mission of the Parks and Recreation Department is to plan, secure, develop, and maintain recreational areas within the City of Owasso. This ensures that the citizens of Owasso will continue to have recreational amenities to complement a quality of life that is unmatched in our area.

RECENT PROJECTS 

OWASSO HEART HEALTHY TRAIL 

The City of Owasso's Recreation and Culture Department is proud to announce the construction of the new Heart Healthy Trail.

The Heart Healthy Trail is located at the southwest portion of the South Sports Park off of 106th street. 

• Asphalt Surface 

• 6 Foot Wide 

• 1 Lap = 1.03 Miles / 1.66 Kilometer

• 3 Laps = 3.1 Miles / 5 Kilometer

FUNTASTIC ISLAND PARK RENOVATION

Funtastic Island Playground, located at the northern portion of the sports park off 116th Street, has been completely renovated. The new park includes:

  • Brand new playground features
  • Rubberized ground surface
  • Synthetic turf
  • Shade structures
  • An interactive splash pad
  • An expanded parking lot
