April 2016 Sales Tax Election Information  (Proposition Approved by Voters)

On January 19, 2016, the Owasso City Council approved Resolution 2016-01 and Ordinance 1068 calling for an election on April 5, 2016. The purpose of the election is to submit a project-based question to voters, which if approved, will recapture a portion of the expiring Tulsa County sales tax, known as Vision 2025. The proposition requests approval of fifty-five hundredths of one percent (.55%) of the expiring sixty hundredths of one percent (.60%), beginning January 1, 2017 and expiring December 31, 2023, for the following projects:

 EAST 96TH STREET NORTH FROM APPROXIMATELY NORTH 119TH EAST AVENUE TO NORTH 129TH EAST AVENUE

EAST 116TH STREET NORTH FROM  APPROXIMATELY US HWY 169 TO MINGO ROAD

NEW: Public Meeting Information
The City Manager will conduct two important public meetings regarding April 5th sales tax re-capture election.

  • The first is March 22, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm in the RAM Room at the Owasso Community Center.
  • Then again Thursday, March 31st from 6 to 7:30pm at the Owasso Campus of Tulsa Technology Center
