Responsibilities


The City of Owasso Community Development Department is responsible for administering land use control mechanisms, including zoning and subdivision regulations, building codes, variance requests, and public nuisances.


Divisions

The department is comprised of 3 divisions, each of which has varying degrees of responsibility: 
  • Building Inspections and Permits
  • Code Enforcement
  • Planning, Zoning, Land Development, Planning Commission, and Board of Adjustment

GrOwasso 2030 Land Use Master Plan Update

The Community Development Department held a public meeting to discuss proposed updates to the GrOwasso 2030 Land Use Master Plan with Owasso property owners and citizens. The meeting was held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 6:00 pm in the Community Room at City Hall, located at 200 S Main, Owasso, OK.

City staff gave a brief overview of the update to the Land Use Master Plan and then addressed any questions or concerns about the proposed updates from those in attendance. If you were unable to attend the public meeting, please send any questions or concerns to the Planning Division at planning@cityofowasso.com or at (918)376-1500.

A conceptual map of the proposed changes can be found here. The proposed changes are expected to appear on the agendas for the Owasso Planning Commission and Owasso City Council some time in the coming months. Staff will update this page as those dates are determined.

Owasso Zoning Map Update
The Community Development Department will hold a public meeting to discuss an update to the Owasso Zoning Map with Owasso property owners and citizens. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 6:00 pm in the Community Room at City Hall, located at 200 S Main, Owasso, OK.
