Project Update

September 9, 2013

 

ATTENTION: Road Work on 96th Street - Due to extreme heat, concrete placement along 96th street, between 133rd and 134th streets will begin Monday at 4AM. We apologize for any noise or inconvenience; however this is a necessary part of the construction phase. Trucks will be entering and exiting these areas. Drivers please use extreme caution. Thank you.

 

ATTENTION: ROAD CLOSURE

Beginning Monday September 9th at 9am. 116th Street between N 108th E Ave and N 109th E Ave will be CLOSED. NO through traffic as Tulsa County begins to replace the bridge culvert. Work will be ongoing for approximately 7 days. Access to the Sports park will be from the West off of Mingo. Attached map shows detour routes and work area

ATTENTION: ROAD CLOSURE

As part of the 96th and 129th street improvements. Starting Monday July 29th, the entrance to Pleasant View Estates ; N 134th E Ave off of 96th Street will be closed for approximately 90 days as road work begins on the south side of 96th. Residents will have to detour on 136th to enter or exit this addition.

We apologize for any inconvenience however this is a necessary part of this construction phase and safety is a must for residents as well as construction workers.

ATTENTION: ROAD CLOSURE

As part of the street rehabilitation project, 87th St North between Cedar and Garnett (Post Office Road) will be closed from 6am until approximately noon on Monday July 8th. This will be a construction zone with no access to vehicles. This is necessary to ensure the safety of crews and citizens while work is under way. We apoligize for any inconvenience this may cause.

2012-2013 Street Rehabilitation Project

ATTENTION: WEATHER PERMITTING (ANY RAIN COULD CAUSE A DELAY)

As part of the 2013 Street Rehabilitation Project, Tulsa County has informed the City of Owasso that the asphalt overlay portion of the project is scheduled to  begin June 24th or 25th. Areas marked in Red on the attached map have been milled and Tulsa County will be doing the overlay portion. Multiple locations could be done during one day. Residents will receive an orange door hanger letting them know that work on their street will be done on the day marked on the door hangers (Weather Permitting). If you live in an area marked in red on the map, please be looking for door hangers and follow directions as to make this process go as fast and smooth as possible. Please use caution at all times when driving in and around construction zones.

We want to remind the citizens of Owasso that the asphalt overlay  is done by Tulsa County and we do not have the authority to schedule their work. Public Works can only provide information given by Tulsa County.

Mingo Overlay:

Beginning June 17th thru June 21st the asphalt overlay on Mingo will begin. Tulsa County crews will be working between the hours of 6:30am to 5:30pm. Drivers using Mingo between 96th and 116th should expect delays or detours. Please use extreme caution. Only local traffic should utilize Mingo during this time. Sorry for the inconvenience - Progress as promised.

 

E 96th ST N & N 129th East Ave Project

As part of the E 96th ST N and N 129th East Ave street improvements: Starting June 12th at 7:00 AM, the South bound lane of N 129th East Ave between E 96th ST N and E 100th ST N will be CLOSED until June 26th (WEATHER PERMITTING). North bound traffic will be allowed to utilize N 129th East Ave; however drivers are advised to use extreme caution. South bound traffic should use alternate routes or detour on E 100th ST N. Drivers could encounter delays. SEE MAP
