Project Update

Widening of 86th ST N - Main to Memorial

Update as of 12-14-12:86th-Memorial Closure

The City of Owasso and Tulsa County are happy to announce that the widening of 86th Street North from Main Street in Owasso to Memorial Drive is coming to an end. One of the last phases of the project is the reconstruction of the intersection of Memorial Drive and 86th Street North. In order to expedite the construction of the intersection Tulsa County has given permission to close traffic to this intersection for one (1) week. This will allow the contractor uninterrupted access to the work zone and get the intersection reopened sooner than anticipated. The intersection will be closed to all traffic starting December 14, 2012, until December 21, 2012.

The detour locations are described as below:

• Traffic coming from the west to Owasso will need to use 76th Street North, 106th Street North or 116th Street North.

• Residents living on 86th Street North west of Memorial Drive will need to use Sheridan Road to access 76th Street North or 106th Street North.

• Residents living on 86th Street North in the construction zone will need to go east to the Main Street Intersection, south on Main and then west on 76th Street North to get to US Hwy 75.

• Traffic usually driving Memorial Drive north or south will need to use Sheridan Road.
