Drug Uses
Furosemide is used for healing of fluid build-up and swelling caused by congestive heart failure, liver cirrhosis, or kidney sickness. It is also used in combination with other medicines to cure fluid build-up in the lungs. Itcan also be used for other situations as recommended by your physician.
How Taken
Use Furosemide as suggested by your doctor. To avoid stomach upset take Furosemide with a meal. Furosemide can increase the amount of urine or cause you to urinate more often when you first start taking it. To keep this from disturbing your sleep, try to take your dosage before 6 pm (18:00).

Furosemide can cause dizziness. These effects may worsen if Furosemide is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Furosemide with caution. Don't drive or perform other possibly not safe tasks until you know how you react to this drug. If your symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, visit your doctor. Furosemide should be used only by the patient for whom it has been recommended. Don't take less or more or take it more often than directed by your physician.
