Drug Uses
Furosemide is used for healing of fluid build-up and swelling caused by congestive heart failure, liver cirrhosis, or kidney disease. It is also can be used in combination with other medicines to treat fluid build-up in the lungs. Itcan also be used for other situations as advised by your physician.
How Taken
Use Furosemide as directed by your physician. To avoid stomach upset take Furosemide with a meal. Furosemide can increase the amount of urine or cause you to urinate more often when you first start taking it. To keep this from disturbing your sleep, try to take your dosage before 6 pm (18:00).

Furosemide can cause dizziness. These effects can worsen if Furosemide is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Furosemide with caution. Don't drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you respond to this product. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, contact your physician. Furosemide should be used only by the patient for whom it has been determined. Don't take less or more or take it more often than directed by your physician.
