Drug Uses
Reglan is used for handling symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) (heartburn) in patients who do not react to other medications. It is also used to treat nausea, vomiting, heartburn, prolonged fullness after meals and for treatment of symptoms associated with a certain digestive problem in diabetic patients (diabetic gastroparesis). It can also be used for other situations as suggested by your doctor.
How Taken
Take Reglan as prescribed by your doctor. Blow Reglan 30 minutes before food intake. It may take several days to weeks for Reglan to work. Do not stop taking Reglan without consulting with your doctor.
Additional Information
Reglan can cause drowsiness, giddiness, or blurred vision. These symptoms may worsen if Reglan is taken with alcohol or certain other drugs. Take Reglan with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how you respond to this medication. If your symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, notify your physician. Reglan should be used only by the patient for whom it has been prescribed. Don't use less or more or take it more often than recommended by your doctor.
