Drug Uses
Inderal is indicated for healing of high blood pressure, prevention of angina pectoris (chest pain), management of a heart condition called hypertrophic subaortic stenosis, handling and preventing certain abnormal or rapid heart rhythms, improvement of survival after a heart attack in certain patients, curing tremor, prevention of migraine headaches, and treating symptoms of adrenal gland tumors. It may be used alone or with other drugs. It may also be used for other condition as determined by your doctor.
How Taken
Use Inderal as directed by your doctor. Use Inderal with or without a meal, but it should be taken at the same time daily and consistently either on an empty stomach or with food. Don't take antacids containing aluminum within 2 hours of taking Inderal. Continue to use Inderal even if you feel well.
More Information
Inderal may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or lightheadedness. These effects may worsen if Inderal is taken with alcohol or certain other medications.
Use Inderal with caution. Don't drive or perform other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how you react to this product. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, contact your physician. This medicine should be used only by the patient for whom it has been suggested. Don't take less or more or use it more often than directed by your physician.
