Open Records Requests

As a municipal entity, the City of Owasso operates under the guidelines set forth within the Oklahoma Open Records Act. As the act notes, "It is the public policy of the State of Oklahoma that the people are vested with the inherent right to know and be fully informed about their government...[As such,] the purpose of [the Open Records Act] is to ensure and facilitate the public's right of acces to and review of government records so they may efficiently and intelligently exercise their inherent political power."

Citizens wishing to obtain or view public documents should contact the City Clerk's office at 918-376-1502 or jstevens@cityofowasso.com. Detailed requests for documents may be submitted using an Open Records Request form, which will ensure that the City Clerk can handle your request in a speedy manner and provide you with the most accurate information as possible.
