Ideal
Owasso
Resident participation in the Quality of
Life initiative that commenced April, 2010, was unprecedented.
More than 800 participants turned out for town meetings, completed
online surveys, uploaded photos, and provided comments, helping
guide City leaders as they seek to lay the foundation for a future in which Owasso
attracts both residents and
quality
jobs, encourages sustainable living practices, and provides an array
of amenities to those who live and work here.
Purpose: Building the ideal city begins
with a shared vision between residents, businesses, and city leadership.
Creating the ideal vision involves forward thinking with future generations in
mind. The Ideal Owasso site has been launched to continue the
dialog with residents and provide a way to express ideas to be used in creating
a shared vision.
Even though the Wikiplanning service has expired,
residents can continue to upload photos, leave comments, complete surveys, and
view master plan data on this site. The input provided by residents will be made
available to committees and boards so that citizen feedback is always considered
in decisions that shape the future of Owasso.
Surveys:
Recycle Center And Convenience Station Customer Survey - The goal of the City’s recycling program is to provide opportunities for the reduction, reuse and recycling of consumer products in order to achieve zero waste into local landfills. This survey will provide staff with valuable input relating to community needs for recycling services.
