Given the above, the City of Owasso Community Development Department is responsible for administering land use control mechanisms, including zoning and subdivision regulations, building codes, variance requests, and public nuisances.


The department is comprised of 3 divisions, each of which has varying degrees of responsibility:
  • Building Inspections and Permits
  • Code Enforcement
  • Planning, Zoning, Land Development, Planning Commission, and Board of Adjustment

Owasso Zoning Code Update - Final Draft

The Community Development Department, in collaboration with the Owasso Planning Commission, the Owasso City Council, and other community stakeholders, is currently undergoing the process to update the Owasso Zoning Code. 

A Public Input Meeting will be held on March 29, 2018 in the Community Room at Owasso City Hall (200 S Main) starting at 6:00pm.

Two Public Hearings will also be held on the Zoning Code Update. The first Public Hearing will be held during the April 9, 2018 Planning Commission meeting starting at 6:00pm.  The second Public Hearing will be held during the April 17, 2018 City Council meeting starting at 6:30pm. Both the Planning Commission and City Council meetings will be held at Old Central (109 N Birch).
